 Comments I know what you mean. I always have a really tough time cropping these tiling fractals in an interesting, aesthetic way. I often turns into a lot of detail with no large-scale structure, which is a compromise. I usually like it nonetheless, but yes, occasionally I wish it were easier to make some sort of focal point AND have lots of detail.
As for the palette, the original was actually a lot more cyan and then I made it more blue with chaotica curves.  I don't remember where I got it originally, but you are right, it is a lot like the Obama posters! |

The colours are nice, and I love the texture, it's definitely something I could have on my wall.
But I think it somehow lacks a bit of flow, I don't know where to focus, probably the red area should be more secluded, either as a centre or as a line through the picture. I like how it's a certain order in it, the broken tilings are one of my favourite aspects with this one. So, totally, I love this one, it's just something with the flow, I dunno if there's a better word for it...
