What's with me and abstracts and weird titles? I haven't even used the random title generator. I got the idea when I was browsing some abstract photos and thought: why not try to make a similar in UF? But I got a bit carried away, so it ended up a bit differently from the photo, but still similar. I might try this again
I was instantly struck by the beautiful lines of this piece (I love fractals with clean lines). I find the dark borders separating the colored regions to be quite appealing. The use of contrasting colors was quite nice as well (even if I am partial to orange). The textures are lovely as well. They give the piece the over-all look of something painted on textured paper. This is helped quite a bit by the previously mentioned dark lines. The only negative I can find with the piece is the line running through the middle, where the edges become somewhat blurred. I must admit, however, that I only noticed it upon closer inspection of the piece, so I can't take off for it . Over-all, an absolutely beautiful piece deserving of being placed in an art museum (or hanging on my living room wall ).
I really love this. It does look like an abstract painting. The contrast in the blue and orange is wonderful as is the little bit of turbulence in the black. The overall balance is perfect.
There are two things that I think could be just a bit better. To me, the orange looks a bit "muddy"; perhaps lightening the dark areas of the gradient would brighten it some. The line dividing the image seems just a bit blurry and I would like to see it sharper.
It is clearly a masterpiece that should hang in the Museum of Modern Art.
